Pet of the Week Meet Percy! Percy is a black and white ticked Australian Cattle Dog blend. She arrived at the shelter as a stray. She is approximately 8 years old and weighs 54 pounds. Percy is excellent of getting out of yards when left for long periods of time unattended. She has to be kept safe from wandering. She needs a dedicated owner that is willing to crate train her. Percy will want an indoor home, a securely fenced yard, daily exercise, and continued training tailored to fit the lifestyle of her new family. She hasn't had the TLC and companionship with her family as all dogs deserve. She really wants a family who will include her in their daily lives and activities and love her forever. She will repay you ten fold! An active family, and secure fencing, will keep this girl wanting to be no where but with you! Please come meet this darling girl. Do you have a heart perfect for her? Did we mention that Percy loves tennis balls? She will run after the ball, fetch it, then drop it at your feet for you to throw again. She will sit on command and wait for you to throw it for her again! She is dog-friendly, but does not do well with small animals like cats, chickens or rabbits. She really wants to be in her forever home, and learn to live as a beloved family companion. This will help her in learning the training you have in mind for her. She is vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed! Ready to go home today!!!      .
We like to see our dogs adopted into safe homes that are a good fit for the family, the dog and with any other dogs or cats that may be in the home. We do meet and greets here at the shelter to make sure that all the dogs get along. Our adoption specialists are here to help facilitate this process. To better help us serve you, we ask that our visitors fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire.
