Pet of the Week- MEET SWEETIE! She is a 3 year old Shepherd mix who weighs 51.2 pounds. She is house trained and well behaved on the leash.  She knows sit stay lay down, and has been through training. She likes treats and toys, likes people, and is active and energetic. Sweetie is correctly named as she is affectionate and likes belly rubs. She loves to play in the water! SHE WILL NEED A CAT FREE HOME. She will need a securely fenced yard with a tall, at least 6 foot fence. As always, please bring in all family members and other household dogs for a meet and greet prior to any dog adoption. Our trained staff will introduce and evaluate to check for compatibility before going home. Sweetie is current on her vaccinations, micro- chipped, and spayed. She really wants the stability of a forever family and will thrive in a home where she feels secure and loved. She will thrive with love and consistency. Come in and meet her today.
We like to see our dogs adopted into safe homes that are a good fit for the family, the dog and with any other dogs or cats that may be in the home. We do meet and greets here at the shelter to make sure that all the dogs get along. Our adoption specialist, Julie, is here to help facilitate this process. To better help us serve you towards these ends we ask that our visitors fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire. You can click on the following link to download one if you like or fill out one here at the shelter when considering to adopt a new dog.
