Doggy Day Out Adventure

Shift Description

🟡 Yellow Badge Volunteers Only (Level 2) Take a shelter dog out for a half-day adventure to give them a break from the kennel and a taste of real life! Whether it's a scenic hike, a relaxing car ride, or a visit for a pup cup, you'll be giving a green-sticker dog much-needed enrichment and exposure. Details: Up to 4 hours out anytime between 8 AM – 5 PM (return by 5 PM). Thursdays only (adoption floor closed). Must be a Yellow Badge Level 2 volunteer. Activities can include: car rides, hikes, home hangs, swimming, or pet-friendly errands. Coordination with the Volunteer Director is required to select eligible dogs. Waiver and agreement must be signed before heading out. A Post-Adventure Survey is required upon return.
