No Act Too Small

The shelter relies on the assistance of caring, hardworking, and knowledgeable volunteers in all of our programs. Volunteers make an enormous difference in our mission to help change the lives of animals and their owners throughout the valley. There is no act too big or too small that can go towards helping the animals. Here are a few of the things that you can do to help us:

  • Taking dogs into the play yard for a bathroom break, play, attention, and enrichment.

  • Socializing cats on the adoption floor and in the Cat Colony Room.

  • Taking pictures of dogs and cats to help keep our adoptable pets looking their best.

  • Writing biographies for the website and Petfinder.

  • Basic cleaning and sanitation to keep our animals healthy and comfy.

Lifesaving is a Group Effort

If you find yourself asking "can I really make a difference by volunteering a few hours?" The answer is YES. Every second donated and ounce of compassion shared contributes to the incredible impact we have on our community when we work together. There are volunteer opportunities for every person (or group)!

ADULT VOLUNTEERS

To start the process of volunteering, please fill out the volunteer application. Once we have your application and liability waiver signed digitally, we will start the process of training. Volunteer training is a combination of online and in-person learning to set volunteers up for success at the shelter.
